L3 Messaging / MS Exchange System Administrator

Position Summary/Overview:

We currently have a temp to perm opportunity for an L3 Messaging / MS Exchange System Administrator to join a large MS exchange environment in financial domain. This role is responsible for leading, managing and overseeing all messaging and Exchange services, in addition to designing and deploying enterprise-wide, complex cloud messaging infrastructure solutions. This role will involve prototyping, creating solutions, blueprints, road-mapping, technical delivery and coordination with multiple stakeholders and peer technical groups through detailed documentation and presentations, in order to develop objectives and review current and proposed architecture to arrive at agreed end-state solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, manage, maintain and troubleshoot any issues regarding on premise Messaging Infrastructure including MS Exchange servers, secure email gateways, Lync/Skype for Business, iOS
  • Analyze, architect, design and deliver solutions on various platforms
  • Configuration and administration of O365, Exchange and Active Directory
  • Maintenance of mail-related user attributes
  • Management of distribution groups
  • Creation of GPOs related to mail
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Create and execute pre-defined scripts to automate process
  • Develop technical approaches and provide recommendations to improve upon current processes where necessary
  • Identify improvements, create business cases, and conduct strategic planning exercises with senior stakeholders
  • Day-to-day operation of Lync/Exchange environments, including change, release, performance and availability management
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment

Education & Experience:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • L3 level knowledge on at least 3 technologies from primary skills and L2 knowledge on other technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passionate, Self-motivated and driven, with keen attention to detail, action-and-results oriented
  • Proven knowledge on Lync/Skype for business, MDM, O365, Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Certification on Exchange, O365 and Skype for Business preferred
  • Some experience in email gateways and batch scripting
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex enterprise level issues and outages
  • Should have experience in IT Service organization
  • Conversant with Incident management tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong logical, analytical, problem solving skills and reporting skills
