AWS Cloud Architect/Engineer

As the AWS Cloud Architect/ Engineer, you will help with the integration strategy for Cloud services on AWS as a key player on the Mergers & Acquisitions Cloud Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing current environments for best practices and compliance related to security and authentication
  • Guiding DevOps teams with assessing Cloud readiness of applications and remediation where required
  • Enabling portability / compatibility between public and private clouds
  • Enabling automated solutions for Cloud including but not limited to provisioning, resource management, bursting ability, etc
  • Contributing to the multi-year Infrastructure direction and strategy around technologies, tools, capabilities and operating models
  • Understanding the portfolio of Infrastructure Services supporting the DevOps teams
  • Collaborating with other Solutions designers to develop a standardized services catalog in ServiceNow (ITSM platform) to frontend the automated solutions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in IT industry in a relevant area, with at least 2 years’ experience with Public Clouds, preferably with AWS
  • Prefer scripting, coding or software development skills and background
  • Very good working knowledge of AWS public cloud services
  • Experience with automation tool sets for Cloud provisioning, elasticity, and operations
  • Experience with modern source control software such as Git or SVN.
  • Experience working in Agile SDLC with sprints and daily stand-ups.
  • Previous experience with various infrastructure areas such as Server, Virtualization, Storage, Infrastructure Applications, Database, and Middleware, Network and Security
  • Solid grasp of high availability, load balancing, disaster recovery solutions, replication, and automation technologies
  • Technical solution documentation skills including use of Microsoft Visio
  • Understanding of operational security concepts for Public Cloud
  • Ability to understand and analyze client requirements and provide appropriate solutions
  • Must be familiar with ITIL and ITSM support processes and terminology
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Equivalent area of study, Industry Certification in a relevant area is a plus
