Description
The Business Resilience team resides within the Corporate Security and Resilience (CS&R) organization that provides subject matter expertise (SME) and associated business continuity planning (BCP) solutions to business divisions across the enterprise.
In this role, the candidate will support the onboarding of new business into the Business Continuity Program. The candidate must possess a solid understanding of business continuity planning, as well as strong organizational and communication skills. The candidate should be able to comprehend the business needs and translate those needs into requirements, identifying business continuity planning challenges and help in the development of action plans and strategies to meet their business continuity planning objectives.
The candidate will have prior business continuity planning experience, an understanding information technology and third-party dependency requirements, and possess the skill to “speak” both technical and business recovery language. In this role the candidate will work closely with a Business Continuity Liaison and business line subject matter experts when reviewing and analyzing data to help support the creation of business line continuity plans across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
Working with the Business Continuity Liaisons and business line contacts to support the integration of newly acquired business in their business continuity plan portfolio.
Point person for coordination and scheduling of meetings between business SMEs of newly acquired entities and Citizens’ business continuity personnel.
Create an integration schedule for legacy business continuity plans and manage to this schedule.
Proactively identifying and recording risks, issues, dependencies, and gaps in accordance with policy and process standards.
Escalating issues and concerns to the Business Continuity Liaison and Management and help support the management of identified risks.
Providing input into the ongoing support of the Business Resilience Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program and process improvement efforts.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 3 years previous experience with Business Continuity Planning.
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Exercise Support experience desired
Project Management experience desired
Deadline driven
Strong analytical, organizational, time management and planning skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong collaboration skills
Competent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or related industry experience equivalence)
