Position Overview/Summary
Our Client is a not-for-profit leader in educational travel for adults. We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Business Process Reengineering to join our Client’s team in Boston, MA. He/She will be responsible for providing strategic insight and application of process improvement / reengineering methodologies & principles to conduct process modernization projects. S/he will achieve best in class organizational performance by improving processes, eliminating waste, optimizing flow, and maximizing operational performance and efficiency. The Sr. Manager, Business Process Reengineering assess stakeholder requirements and then envision, define, design, develop, and deploy reengineered business processes.
Responsibilities
- Defines, drives, and coordinates the development of process improvement initiatives, projects and activities. Leads analysis and process mapping efforts and identifies and prioritizes opportunities for improvement
- Evaluates prioritizes, recommends and leads improvement opportunities and changes to existing processes
- Supports implementation activities and interacts with senior leadership to accomplish process improvement objectives to achieve sustainable results
- Meets with stakeholders to define operational requirements and goals, designs and documents work flow, manages user expectations, and works collaboratively across the enterprise
- Develops cost-effective plans and schedules for completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization of resources
- Provides leadership and problem-solving expertise to effectively work with and influence teams of functional representatives
- Tracks and controls progress, schedules and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and budget projections
Additional Responsibilities:
- Educates and aligns employees to the principles, practices and philosophies of continuous improvement
- Assists in the development of Continuous Improvement training materials and provides additional forms of knowledge transfer
Education and Experience:
- Proven track record of 7+ years of experience in project management, program strategy, scope & resource definition, possibility/solution work stream generation, knowledge management, and its transition to applications and execution
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders to accomplish a common goal
- Ability to prepare clear, well-written documents such as briefings, requirements documents, and white papers and conduct oral presentations
- Ability to interview and facilitate focused group discussions as well as work collaboratively and build consensus across the enterprise
- Strong communication, facilitation, and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of quality / process improvement/reengineering methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, Agile, ISO 9000 Methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or business related field, and/or BPM certification a plus; Masters preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft MS Office Suite and process improvement applications
