iOS/MacOS Engineer

As an iOS/macOS Engineer, you will take on several iOS development efforts, and help build the safest communications platform on the planet. There are several specific projects the person in this role will be tasked with completing. If the results of that work are exemplary and you develop a good working relationship with the rest of the team, this position may transition to a full time role on the iOS/macOS project team. Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to our Swift code base for our next generation platform (communication and productivity applications tailored for—but not limited to–specialized, highly secure, regulated markets, e.g. law enforcement, counter-terrorism, healthcare, finance, etc.)
  • Design, build, and test various features of our system within the iOS/macOS ecosystems;
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and iteration/evolution of our platform on iOS/macOS, including bug triage, mitigation, and remedy;
  • Collaborate on and contribute to product design and system architecture as the platform evolves with our users, with the state-of-the-art, and with our vision;
  • Take initiative to define and prioritize your tasks in accordance with our shared goals and vision.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field;
  • 5+ years of work experience building iOS Applications;
  • Experience with Swift and Swift UI;
  • Extensive understanding of iOS framework, its components, and their respective lifecycles;
  • Familiarity with Xcode and the iOS/macOS ecosystem for development, testing, and debugging;
  • Experience with Xcode Cloud;
  • Experience developing highly performant Java code;
  • A disciplined approach to development, testing, documentation and code structure;
  • Rock solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms and programming languages;
  • Comfort working and collaborating with remote teams;
  • Good feel for UI/UX; and
  • Some workday overlap with America/New York.

  • Self-motivated and driven by the impact you can have on users.

Preferred:

  • Experience meeting and conforming to compliance standards: HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC-2, ISO 27001, FIPS-140, etc;
  • Passion for cryptography and security;
  • Experience with Javascript and Node.js;
  • DevOps experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and AWS
