IT Billing Analyst

Position Overview/Summary:

This person will be responsible for all finance related activities pertaining to the IT Department, including but not limited to processing invoices, verifying and tracking payments, producing and tracking annual budgets for primary IT department and any related Affiliates or Entities. This individual will participate in other accounting and finance related areas such as contract renewal and management, document scanning, and monthly expense reports. The IT Billing Analyst is the primary liaison with the accounting department involving purchase requests, purchase order requests, fixed asset requests, and good receipts.

Responsibilities:

  • Categorize invoices to the appropriate account codes, entities, locations, projects, and budgets
  • Analyze usage invoices (voice, internet, mobile, etc.) and allocate accordingly by budget entity
  • Catalog and produce monthly expense reports including credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain invoicing, tracking and reporting for vendor contracts
  • Data entry of invoices into a customized accounting software package
  • Manage the purchasing process including obtaining authorization, tracking and reconciling orders
  • Track and validate outgoing payments
  • Investigate and reply to payment inquiries/communications with vendors and account managers
  • Maintain status of vendor accounts (credits & past due)
  • Participate in ongoing budget adjustments and reports
  • Prepaid expense tracking
  • Fixed Assets management
  • Maintain IT budget including reporting

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Strong math and accounting software skills
  • Solid bookkeeping and organizational skills
  • Experience with SAP, BPC or Concur is a plus
  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with vendors and customer service representatives
  • The ability to work effectively in a team oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial services-based companies is a plus
